Hardin County Jail Roster
The official jail roster is the Hardin County sheriff inmate roster. It is an OCV roster page backed by a public feed. The feed is configured for search, sort, date display, date-descending order, and roster cards. It is free, and no public login was observed. Because Hardin County uses Multi-County Correctional Center, the roster should be treated as the Hardin sheriff-facing jail roster for inmates in the MCCC pathway.
The roster is not the same as a statewide criminal-history report. It does not replace Hardin County court records, the ODRC offender search, the BOP locator, or ICE's detainee locator. It is strongest for current and recent booking detail. If the person has been sentenced to state prison, transferred, held federally, or detained for immigration reasons, another system may be the correct source.
Use the Hardin County Inmate Roster
Begin with the person's legal name. Last name is the most useful starting point because inspected roster titles used LAST, FIRST MIDDLE format. If the name is common, compare the booking date, date of birth, inmate ID, arresting agency, and physical descriptors before assuming the match is correct.
- Open the official Hardin sheriff roster page.
- Search by last name and review the visible roster cards.
- Sort or scan the newest entries if the arrest was recent.
- Open the roster item to read the inmate ID, booking date, release date, and charges.
- Call MCCC at 740-387-7434 and press #2 if the roster result is missing or unclear.

Hardin County Roster Search Fields
The roster's public controls are simple. The manifest confirmed a search control and a sort control, with newest feed dates first. It did not show a separate booking-number box, bond filter, housing filter, or court-date field.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Search | Text search | Optional | Use last name first; roster titles start with the last name. |
| Sort | Sort control | Optional | Default sort is date-descending per OCV manifest. |
| Roster item | Clickable card | Not applicable | Open the card to read the full public record block. |
| Login | None observed | No | The public roster did not require account access. |
Hardin County Inmate Profile Fields
Inspected roster entries showed a consistent set of public fields. The useful omissions are just as important. The public Hardin County inmate record did not show bond amount, bond type, housing unit, court date, judge, warrant number, address, detainer flags, or medical/classification details. For those facts, use court records, the Clerk, MCCC, or the sheriff records office.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name / title | All-caps name in LAST, FIRST MIDDLE format. |
| Inmate ID | Local jail identifier used for booking, mail, and deposits. |
| Date of birth | MM-DD-YYYY date format in inspected entries. |
| Physical descriptors | Hair, eye, height, weight, gender, and race fields. |
| Booking date | Date and time jail custody was entered. |
| Release date | Blank when no public release date is shown; populated for released records. |
| Charges | Statute and description pairs tied to the booking record. |
| Mugshot | Small and large JPEG booking-photo URLs in inspected feed records. |
Hardin County State Federal Custody
Use the roster for jail-level Hardin County inmate records. Use ODRC Offender Search for sentenced Ohio prison and APA supervision records. Use the BOP inmate locator for federal sentenced prisoners. Use ICE's detainee locator for immigration custody when the required identifying information is available.
| Custody Question | Where to Look | What It Covers |
|---|---|---|
| Recent Hardin arrest | Hardin sheriff roster and MCCC phone line | Booking data and local jail custody |
| Sentenced Ohio prisoner | ODRC Offender Search | Prison, release, APA supervision, violator status |
| Federal prisoner | BOP Inmate Locator | Federal custody records, generally 1982 forward |
| Immigration detainee | ICE Online Detainee Locator | Current ICE custody or CBP custody over 48 hours |
Hardin County Jail Facility
Hardin County does not run a separate adult jail in Kenton for ordinary jail custody. The Hardin-serving jail is MCCC in Marion. That matters for visits, mail, phone accounts, money deposits, and custody checks.

Hardin County Booking Process
After a Hardin County arrest, the person is transported into the MCCC jail system. Intake creates or uses the inmate ID visible on the roster. Jail staff enter booking facts, physical descriptors, a booking photo, arresting agency, booking date, release-date field, statutes, and charge descriptions. The roster does not state a fixed refresh schedule, so current custody should be confirmed by phone when timing matters.
Booking charges are not the final word on the case. Prosecutors and courts may file, amend, reduce, dismiss, or pursue charges that differ from the initial roster text. The Clerk's CaseLook disclaimer warns that online court records may lag at least 24 hours after filings or court action. That delay explains why a person may appear on the jail roster before a court case is visible online.
MCCC Visitation Rules
Visitation information has two official paths that may reflect a transition. The Hardin sheriff visitation page gives phone scheduling and housing-unit times. The MCCC services page says in-person visits were replaced with one free weekly 30-minute video visit through SmartJailMail, with online scheduling. Confirm the current mode with MCCC before travel.

Contact Hardin County Inmates
MCCC mail rules use Smart Communications scanning for most incoming letters. The research found two official Smart Communications addresses, one in Seminole, Florida on the sheriff OCV page and one in Columbus on the MCCC services page. Because mail vendors and lockbox addresses change, confirm the current address with MCCC before mailing. Legal mail from courts, government offices, or attorneys is treated as an exception to ordinary scanned mail.
Inmates use Securus and Correctional Billing Services for phone service. Inmates may buy prepaid calling cards through commissary, and the official phone page lists $12.78 per card and $0.21 per minute. Inmates may not use facility telephones.
Commissary and Inmate Funds
MCCC uses TouchPay for inmate account funding. Deposits may be made by phone, online, or at the facility lobby kiosk. The official commissary instructions list facility locator number 243301 and require the inmate's first name, last name, and inmate ID. Convenience fees apply, but the exact fee amount was not published in the sheriff page.
Use the local inmate ID from the roster or facility confirmation before starting a deposit. A name match alone can be risky when roster records include current and recently released entries.
